I personally ♥ Valentine’s Day! All those hearts, flowers, LOVE in the air! Valentine’s Day is the perfect reminder to express love and gratitude to those who surround us on a daily basis, support our decisions and bring joy to our lives.
I love watching the excitement of my daughter when she brings all the valentine cards from her school. V day is not only for adults, for sure, it’s for everyone!

When Is Valentine’s Day
Valentine’s Day is always celebrated on February 14th, no matter what day of the week it is. It’s celebrated with your loved ones – boyfriends, girlfriends, wives, husbands, friends, family, kids.
V Day brings the opportunity to express our feelings to the people who matter to us with cute cards, chocolate, and meaningful presents.
Valentine’s Day History
It is believed Valentine’s Day got its name from the priest from Rome who lived in the third century AD.
When Emperor Claudius II banned marriage as it influenced his soldiers in a bad way, as he thought, priest Valentine continued to marry couples secretly.
When Emperor found out, he sent Valentine to jail. Here, he befriended jailer’s daughter, and by some accounts, healed her from blindness. Before been sentenced on February 14th, Valentine passed a letter to the girl, signed “from your Valentine”.
Valentine’s Day celebration takes roots from the old Roman festival Lupercalia, which celebrated the start of the spring. The festival included the pairing off of men and women by lottery during the event, and sometimes they would get married after.
At the end of the 5th century, when Christianity rise, Lupercalia was deemed un-Christian and was replaced with St Valentine’s Day by Pope Gelasius I. Much later, in the 14th century, this day became associated with romance.
